Meet Our Staff

Jim has been part of the family owned insurance agency since 1986 and president of Thome Insurance Agency since 2003. Jim grew up in Elizabethtown and continues to reside here with his wife, Kathy.

Favorite activity – tandem bicycling and kayaking with Kathy.

Favorite book – the Bible.

Outside of the office – volunteer Bible education.

Cindy Amick has worked in the family agency since 1992 and has been Vice President of Thome Insurance Agency Inc. since 2003. She graduated from Elizabethtown Area High School in 1986 and Millersville University in 1990. Cindy & her husband, Shawn, who also works in the agency, live in Elizabethtown.

Favorite Interests Outside the Office: Boating, Traveling, Interior Decorating, Shopping and of course, attending Penn State Football Games.

Something you may not know about me: I had a recipe published in the Penn State Tailgating Cookbook.

My favorite color: Purple

Shawn Amick has worked at the agency since 2003 after a career in the printing and television industry. Shawn graduated from Elizabethtown Area High School and Central Penn Business School and has pursued further education at Harrisburg Area Community College and Penn State University. Shawn lives in Elizabethtown with his wife, Cindy, co-owner of Thome Insurance.

Favorite Interests Outside of the Office: Penn State Football, Boating, Traveling and Trap Shooting

Something You May Not Know About Me: I have seen Penn State play in every Big Ten Conference stadium.

Terry joined the agency in 2016 after a career in federal law enforcement. Terry graduated from Elizabethtown High School and Slippery Rock State University. She works with her cousin Jim, sister Cindy and brother-in- law Shawn.

Favorite Interests Outside the Office: Family & Friends, Travel and Outdoor Activities.

Something you may not know about me: I have visited every continent including Antarctica.
